Day-by-Day Itinerary
This 4-day guided trek takes you deep into the heart of Mount Mulanje, Malawi’s iconic “Island in the Sky.” You’ll journey across diverse landscapes, from lush tea plantations at the base to high-altitude plateaus and rocky summits. Each day brings a new adventure—crossing rivers, spotting rare plant species, and enjoying panoramic views from the mountain’s highest point. Nights are spent in cozy mountain huts, where you can relax and enjoy hearty meals prepared by your guides.
Meet the guide at CCAP Likhubula House by 8:00 AM for a briefing and equipment check. Hike up the Chambe Plateau via the shaded Skyline Path, with lunch served along the way. Arrive at Chisepo Forest Hut in the early afternoon. Enjoy an optional late-afternoon walk to a nearby pool before returning to the hut for an overnight stay.
Total hiking time: approximately 8 hours.
After breakfast, climb Sapitwa (3,002 m), the highest peak in Central Africa, and enjoy panoramic views stretching to Zomba Plateau and Lake Chirwa on a clear day. Return to base camp for lunch, then hike across rolling terrain to Thuchila Plateau, passing patches of rainforest along the ridge. Visit the Elephant Head viewpoint for sunset before overnighting at Thuchila Forest Hut. Total hiking time: approximately 8 hours.

Miombo woodland via Likulezi path to Tinyade . After lunch proceed and Debrief will be done at
